AFTER HOURS

This is a 36 x 36 painting I completed recently. I'm such a stay at home with my dogs kind of person, but i paint a lot of scenes like this. Maybe I live vicariously through my paintings!!!!

THE DIVA

I named this 36 x 24 painting, "THE DIVA." I thought she looks like someone who thought of herself in those terms. I think we should all strive to be at least part diva in our own little world.

You know, that person that actually feels like she deserves some attention!

GRAND ENTRY

•  I had to photo this image a second time and put a piece of cardboard behind it.   Can't get the blog thing to accept a long skinny photo.  Or at least, not this long and skinny.  This is a 24 x 10.  I love that format.  I just don't love having to deal with trying to put it on  the blog.  
• So put something over the tan vertical stripe to the left and what's on the right, is my newest painting
• It's called Grand Entry.  There is a figure in it whether you can see it or not.

GENERATIONS

This is a painting I recently completed.  It's called GENERATIONS and is a 40 x 30.
I've been really busy learning my new mac, and getting the printer hooked up.  It seems like i've let too many things eat into my painting time.  and yet, I've painted quite a bit.  Maybe I just need to photograph more!  That's probably it.

I named this painting, "THE RED HEADS". Yhey are living up to their names! These ladies definitly have an attitude.

I finally named the painting i just posted previously. It is called, "THE SPHINX". I thought she looked pretty sphinx like.

I'm working on a painting now called, The Rain Dance. For some reason, I've started using green in my paintings. That seems so wierd for me. But I'm just painting what seems natural at the time, and right now, green is in!

NAME ESCAPES ME

i HAVEN'T COME UP WITH A NAME ON THIS JUST YET. I LIKE TO HAVE THE NAME MIDWAY THRU THE PAINTING, BUT THIS TIME THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

BUT I LOVED WATCHING IT TAKE SHAPE AND COMING INTO BEING. THAT IS THE FUN PART FOR ME.

JUST MOVING THE PAINT UNTIL VOILA! SOMETHING STARTS TO TAKE FORM AND THEN I STEP BACK AND SAY, "WAIT A MINUTE. HOW'D THAT HAPPEN?"

For some reason, you can't post a tall narrow painting. So i photgraphed these 2 together. Thats a pice of cardboard in the middle.

REGRETS, I HAVE A FEW

TO ME, THIS GIRL LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS SOME SERIOUS REGRETS. I DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE HER PRETTY. WAS GOING MORE FOR THE EMOTION .

IN THE MOMENT

THIS IS ONE OF THE PAINTINGS I STARTED DURING THE CLASS JO PETERSEN AND I GAVE LAST MONTH. THOUGHT , MAYBE I SHOULD GET AROUND TO POSTING IT.

I'VE BEEN USING A BIT MORE GREEN IN MY LAST FEW PAINTINGS. I DONT KNOW WHAT THATS ABOUT BUT I'M HAVING FUN WITH IT.

RETHINK BLUE HAIR

Actually, i'm not sure this is going to be the real title. but this is still on my easel. Haven't even been properly photo'd thanks to this horrible weather which is soon to be over

SPRING IS TRULY RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems that all any of my neighbors ca talk about is frozen and busted pipes.

But this painting kept me happy thru it all, and so it has served a real purpose

This is a painting I'm donating to the LADYBIRD WILDFLOWER CENTER for it's annual gala. this is a wonderful event and is very important to the funding of the wildflower center
